TJXQ Archive is always looking for people to join the team and help with archiving efforts.
Listed below are the roles for which TJXQ Archive is always recruiting. While some roles may require more of a time commitment than others, all are volunteer positions; as such, you are able to set your own time commitment to the role based on how much you are willing to give.
- Archive Content Sourcer: Must be comfortable navigating websites in Korean, Japanese, or Chinese. This role will focus on finding high-quality archival content to be posted and shared with fans.
- Graphic Designer: This role will be responsible for the visual design of TJXQ Archive and will be called upon to create graphics, logos, and/or icons on an as-needed basis.
- Text Translators (Korean, Japanese, Chinese): Must be able to understand written Korean, Japanese, or Chinese. This role will be largely focused on translating news articles (archival) and song lyrics.
- Video Translator (Korean, Japanese, Chinese): Must be able to understand spoken Korean, Japanese, or Chinese. This role will mainly focus on translating archival video content for which subtitled versions no longer exist.
- Timers: This role involves synchronizing subtitles with spoken dialogue and/or on-screen text in videos.
- Editor: Must have a fluent-level understanding of English and English grammar. This role will check over any translations before they move to the next step in order to ensure readability and eliminate any spelling or grammatical errors.
- Quality-Checker: This role will focus on ensuring the overall quality of a subtitled-video before it is posted to the Archive and shared with fans.
